Keeping up with The Rental Show

Whether it’s on Facebook, TheRentalShow.com or the Rental Pulse Daily e-newsletter, there are all kinds of ways to keep up with what’s happening at The Rental Show while you’re in Orlando, Fla.

If you have a smartphone, iPad or other tablet, you can download The Rental Show app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play. You’ll also be able to download it on site via a QR code posted at registration. The app includes a searchable exhibitor directory that allows you to create a list of exhibitors you want to visit with notes, a show floor map and a show schedule, including seminars, Events & Tents and show events. At the show, you’ll also receive updates from the American Rental Association (ARA), including any last-minute changes on site.

To fully utilize all features of the app, you will need to be logged in with the email address used for registration and your registration confirmation ID, information you can find in your registration confirmation.

For contests, registration updates, news links and fun photos, you can head over to facebook.com/TheRentalShow. You’ll need a Facebook account to log in, but even non-Facebook users can keep up with the public page. You also can follow @TheRentalShow
on Twitter.

If you spend more time on LinkedIn, log in and request access to The Rental Show group page for more updates. If you’ve never been to the show, or you want to catch up on videos, check out The Rental Show’s YouTube page at youtube.com/user/TheRentalShow.

For daily updates and news articles from The Rental Show, there is Rental Pulse Daily, which will be published Feb. 10, 11 and 12 from the show floor and automatically sent to all Rental Pulse subscribers. Check out RentalPulse.com to subscribe to the weekly e-newsletter and to receive Rental Pulse Daily.

Rental Management staff members also will be on site during the show, covering events, taking photos and writing articles for Rental Pulse Daily and for news coverage to appear in the March issue of Rental Management.

Show resouces at your fingertips

While you prepare to attend The Rental Show 2014, there are a few documents that will help you along the way: The Rental Show
Directory and The Hot List.

The Hot List is an annual product supplement to Rental Management and highlights products and services from The Rental Show exhibitors that are new to the rental industry or are redesigned to include new enhancements that deliver an improved level of performance.

To qualify for The Hot List 2014, products — new, enhanced or redesigned — must be new to the rental industry from the previous show. The 147 products and services listed this year were selected from a record number of those submitted by The Rental Show exhibitors to Rental Management for consideration.

The participating company must be the manufacturer or exclusive distributor of the product. Products with cosmetic changes, new packaging or graphics are not eligible. Products in The Hot List are grouped according to the area of the exhibit floor where the company is located — Construction/Industrial, General Tool/Homeowner and Party/Special Event — in addition to pages specifically for those offering software products or new services. The Hot List is being mailed with the January issue of Rental Management, will be available in a digital format, and you also will be able to pick up a copy onsite at The Rental Show.

The Rental Show Directory contains everything attendees need to know in order to make the most of their experience at The Rental Show in Orlando, Fla. In addition to a complete listing of exhibitors, their booth numbers and Show-Only Specials, the directory includes a comprehensive schedule of events and descriptions of the educational sessions as well as maps of the Orange County Convention Center and information about navigating the Convention Center and Orlando attractions. It also contains details about Events & Tents, the ARA Foundation Auction and the keynote session.

The directory contains additional information that can be used after the show, such as exhibitor contact information and the products they offer, and information about American Rental Association (ARA) board members, committee members and staff members. The Rental Show Directory is magazine-size this year and will be handed out at Registration, with additional distribution on the show floor.
